DR. TEDIANA TORRENS

I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor seeing patients in Palo Alto, California. After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of California Santa Barbara, I earned my Naturopathic Doctorate Degree from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, OR. During my medical education, I worked with a diverse population, treating and managing a variety of health conditions in individuals of all ages - from newborns to the elderly.

I take great interest in treating conditions related to hormone balance, women's health, pediatrics and gut health. Our bodies are complex and interconnected, and I strive to take the entire person into account when managing any health needs. I am especially passionate about the brain-gut-hormone axis and how all of the hormones in our body interact. By focusing attention here, I help my patients find balance in their mood, sleep, energy, digestion and hormones.

However, you don't need to be sick to start investing in your health! Optimizing your health can reduce the risk of future disease, saving you time, money and energy in the future. So often we succumb to the “normal” we have created without realizing we can be healthier and feel better.

Utilizing many treatment modalities, I find that I am able to create highly individualized and unique treatment plans for each of my patients. I have been extensively trained in, and frequently use, herbal medicine, food and lifestyle modification, clinical nutrition, injection therapies, bioidentical hormone replacement, homeopathy and biotherapeutic drainage in my practice. Beyond natural medicines, I have also received robust training in the use of pharmaceutical medications, including tapering off medications when desired and appropriate. With an extensive breadth of treatment modalities available, I am able to collaborate with my patients to create treatment plans that are best suited for them. The best treatment is one that you can do – and I’m excited to help you find out what that is.

In my free time I enjoy rock climbing in new and exciting places, collecting books faster than I can read, cooking overly extravagant meals, watercolor painting, learning guitar

and lounging with my two cats.
